Served many Dharamshalas, colleges in every corner of the country and Babaji got Guru Nanak Mission College built for girls at baghapurana punjabwhich was needed in the area. On 8th August 1996, Baba ji left his five physical bodies and went to Sachkhand while doing car seva of Gurdwara Guru Nanak Charan Kamal at Gurdwara Hargobindsar Bagha Purana, Delhi, Ganganagar, Jammu and lastly at Srinagar. All sangat recalled the great deeds of Saint Baba Gurmail Singh Ji, resident of Sachkhand, great soul, divine sage, Raja Yogi, shelter to the poor.

दिल्ली (04-08-2023) संत बाबा गुरमेल सिंह जी की 84वीं जयंती 3 अगस्त 2023 को बड़ी श्रद्धा और सम्मान के साथ संगत के साथ मनाई गई। जिन्होंने कम उम्र में गुरु नानक मिशन की स्थापना की और गुरु नानक के धर्म का प्रचार-प्रसार कर बाबा जी ने करोड़ों मनुष्यों को गुरु नानक बनाया और साथ ही जादू-टोने से मुक्ति दिलाई और गुरु हरगोबिंद साहिब के ऐतिहासिक स्थान दिखाया गया। देश के कोने-कोने में कई धर्मशालाओं, कॉलेजों की सेवा की और बाबाजी ने बाघापुराना पंजाब में लड़कियों के लिए गुरु नानक मिशन कॉलेज बनवाया, जिसकी क्षेत्र में जरूरत थी। 8 अगस्त 1996 को, बाबा जी ने अपने पांच भौतिक शरीर त्याग दिए और गुरुद्वारा हरगोबिंदसर बाघा पुराना, दिल्ली, गंगानगर, जम्मू और अंत में श्रीनगर में गुरुद्वारा गुरु नानक चरण कमल की कार सेवा करते हुए सचखंड चले गए। सभी संगत ने सचखंड निवासी, महान आत्मा, दिव्य संत, राजयोगी, गरीबों को आश्रय देने वाले संत बाबा गुरमेल सिंह जी के महान कार्यों को याद किया।
